THE WOMAN

She woke up with a sudden jerk; covered in sweat she patted her forehead. She was having the same dream that she had been having since she was 6. "The woman...!" She thought to herself. "Who is she? Why do I always dream about her?" She got up from her bed and went to her study table, took a piece of paper and started writing something down...
"She with every dream she is getting nearer and nearer to me. It’s like she wants to tell me something. Now I can see her even when I am fully awake. I can hear her voice along with several other voices telling me to do stuff. Why is this happening to me? Should I talk to mum about it? But I don't want to cause her any trouble. My presence is already a big problem for her. I don't see her smile after dad left us and she got married to Joe. I always thought she loved him and he loved her then why do they fight all the time. Sometimes it gets so loud in here that I have to hide under my bed. I know that mum and Joe are planning to get rid of me, the voices in my head keeps on telling me that. I don't know what to do? Why is this happening to me?"
As she wrote this down she saw a shadow passes by her through her peripheral vision. She turned back with a jolt but she couldn't see anything. She took a deep breath and sat down on one of the accent chairs in her room. A few hours passed by and her alarm goes off, she quickly turn the alarm off and went to the bathroom to get ready for the day.

She got dressed and went downstairs to make breakfast for her mother and her step father in hopes to win their hearts. She sets a tray and went to her mother's room...
She knocked at the door...
After a few knocks her step father softly answered
"What is it? Come in"
She took the tray and went in,
"I made you two a nice breakfast"
Her step father asked her to put the tray on her mother's side.
"Hey why are you up so early?" Her step father asked.
"Well, I couldn't sleep last night... I have been having really weird dreams since I was... really young and then they stopped for a while but now they are coming back especially after my dad left"
He took her hand and told her that everything is going to be okay.
While they were having this conversation her mother wakes up and started looking at her with anger and disgrace as if she isn't her daughter. "What the hell are you doing in my room? How many times do I have to tell you to stay away from me and my husband you filth?"
Tears pool around in her eyes and she ran towards the door and went out of the room. After a while she could hear loud voices coming from her mother's room.
Her mother used to be a nurse but ever since her father left them her mother had quit her job and started consuming too much alcohol for that reason she went to rehabilitation centre and after a few months she came out clean. She got married again but her unrealistic expectations were never fulfilled and due to depression she started drinking again.
After a moment everything goes quiet, as if she was deaf... Dead silence... And then she started hearing whispers. There were four different voices talking to her at once, she couldn't make out what these voices were saying at first, but then she closed her eyes and begins focusing on these voices:
Voice one: you're just a filth
Voice two: it is time to say goodbye to this world haahahaahhh
Voice three: you're worthless, no one loves you.
Voice four: look at me.. Look at me... Look at me... Look at me... Loooook at meeeee... And it turned into a demonic shrill.
She quickly opened her eyes with fear in them and saw a woman standing in front of her, her arms open with a grin on her face. She uncontrollably started walking towards the woman as she was about to hug her, the woman pushed her back and she fell on the floor and everything around her blacks out.
She regained her consciousness and saw her step father sitting on a chair next to her bed.
'Hey, what happened? You were lying unconscious on the floor!"
To that she wanted to tell him everything but then she stopped with a fear that he will not believe her or may call her an attention seeker.
"I haven't had my breakfast and then what mom said to me...." She lowered her gaze and continued "I guess I got a little over whelmed this morning and collapsed."
He gives her hand a little squeeze "I know things have been pretty hard lately... and... Look I can never take your dad's position but I want you to know that you can talk to me or tell me if you need anything... I will always be there for you."
To that she replied with a smile on her face, "I know And I really appreciate your presence in our family."
Then he quickly got up and left her room.
"He must have heard mom coming or something”, she thought to herself while resting her head against her pillow.
"Today's the first time I have come face to face with the woman from my dreams..." She sighed and then closed her eyes. Her eyes closed as she drifts off into a peaceful sleep. After a few minutes she was woken up by her shivering bed before she could make out her situation she started sinking in her bed and couldn’t move. The more she tried to get herself out, the more she sank in her bed.  After what it seems to be a long hard struggle she finally got free and ran towards the door but she could put her hand on the knob she fall down and those voices came back to her mind. All those mean, harsh and cruel words were getting to her and she started weeping silently. Her tears running down her face, just as she felt as if the world is turning against her, she felt a warm hug around her... she lift her face and saw the woman hugging her. The woman wiped her tears before Sarah could ask anything the woman disappeared and the voices began to fade away, leaving Sarah with a lot of questions...

Next thing she knew was that she was in her bed and the sunlight was peeking through the blinds on the window. Sarah got up and got ready for the day. The first thing she did was to go to the local library to collect some books. Then she went to her school. On the entrance there was a blond goofy looking girl standing, as she saw Sarah she started waving like a lost soldier's wife. Then she ran towards Sarah hugging her tightly. Sarah joyfully asked "so, what's the big news today Maddie?"
To which Maddie exclaimed "Guess who have got a new boyfriend this weekend??" pointing towards herself she almost shouted "This girl!” Sarah hugged her again and told her that she is happy for her but her face wasn't testifying her statement. Maddie pick up the gesture and asked her if her mother had done something again. "Mad, what mom does is not unusual for me now but there is something else I have been wanting to tell everyone but I don't know if anyone would believe me or not".
"oh come on! you know I will believe no matter what", Maddie told Sarah with believe and confidence in her eyes. "I know maddie and you're my sister not my friend but I think I need some time to figure things out" Sarah held Maddie's hand and they both went to their class.

Seven years into the war!

Seven years into the war, Seven years are long enough! Long enough to finish seven generations, Long hard sleepless nights, please someone hear my sighs! Long enough to go deaf, with all the noise we've heard all our lives, Seven years are long enough, Long enough to realise, who we are and with whom we fight! Long enough between those cries, that haven't been answered by any allies! Look into those innocent eyes, what have they done to deserve this demise. They took my parents away from me, And now I pray for their ease! Seven years away from peace, now we think this is our life! Oh dear God! Hear my plea, I wish no harm, Just save me!
